Autobianchi A112 Elegant - How to buy a Classic Car
Adriano, thank you very much for this video. I bought a 1972 Fiat 500L and before I went for the first drive I watched your video about 10 times to learn it. Again thank you, great tutorial ❤
Just found your Great review and looking to buy one here in France.
I think it's pasta its prime...
My mum just bought a restored 500L and gave it to me for driving. By accident ive discovered that youve made this video - thanks a lot! I was so much looking for a good explanation on how to shift & drive the 500 properly. Excellent video, much appreciated!
please make a video about how Giannini improved and tuned our favourite engine , we need to know , can't find a lot online about this
so many contemporary owners don't know how to fold an open sunroof the right way
Thanks Adriano great film one of the best on youtube
I recently bought a 1967 Fiat 500 and one of the main things I was looking for was one without synchromesh. I've only driven it a few times before the bad weather turned up, but the satisfaction from a clean downshift is really something. This video is my inspiration for the spring and summer!
My Mom had a Fiat500 in the late 60ies for about ten years, and she told me how to drive it when I had my driving license in 1975, I remember that double declutching pretty well, when shifting to a lower gear, and I also used my right heel to hit the gas in between. I thought that was sooo super cool!!!! Thanks for this great video, it brings back memories!
Thank you!
@@AdrianosClassicGarage Can you answer me one question please? I forgot what the third lever on the panel was. One was for windshield wiper, one for light. And what was the third? Not far distance light, because that was the lever left of the steering wheel. What was it then?
Hi Adriano, and greetings from the UK. Great video, informative and fun. We just got a 2007 Mini One 1.4 for our son. I was expecting to hate it, but really love it. As you pointed out they're funky, fun, well put together and drive really well. Basically I love driving it, and my son is getting fed up of me finding excuses to take it out..! Cheers.
Thank you!
nice video sir. cheers. i love classic fiat 500. hoping to have one.
It looks like a great little car for driving around the Spanish mountains. I'm trying to find one now.
Should I get one? Are they somewhat reliable
Great video! I received a Mercedes w202 2.5d (non turbo) from my late Grandfather. It is from '94 and in mint condition. It has elegance trim and thankfully it is pre lift because post lift versions had problem with corrosion.
I daily an ‘86 190D 2.5 manual. 35-42 mpg, it has 302,000 miles on the clock and it just keeps on going. Solid, fairly comfortable and alarmingly quiet for an old diesel.
Salut my friend super car super video subscribe subscribe ..
Love this video. I have a 1970 500L, was owned by a driver in Palermo. It was restored and is now living its life in Ireland. Brilliant litttle machine.
Come mai il tubo dell'aria del filtro è staccato?
Bel video, complimenti 👍
Hey @adrianosclassicgarage How did it hold up ? I asked a shop to polish it for me and told me that because the car did not have a separate clear coat from the factory ( laquer was mixed in with the paint) it would become matte again in a few months at best.
If you’re gonna talk just for the sponsor and for saying stop to a driver in the middle of the video why not talk at the start of the video?
There was no sponsor, just to be clear :) If you wanna see me talk, there are plenty of other videos to watch! :D
@@AdrianosClassicGarage oh, I must have heard wrong. It’s just that I hear some you tubers stay silent for the entire video but only talk for the sponsor and I thought that it’s weird.
I understand! I've had offers but never took anything from a sponsor so far!
I am picking mine up on Saturday, a red 1998 and it is a beauty!
Classic fiat 500’s useally speed is 60 to 70kms
My Chevy Volt 100+mpg over 10 years. Electricity is 1/10 the cost of gas.
Just bought a 1993 Mercedes 190e 2.3 Not a 16v, automatic. It arrives tomorrow! Wish me luck with it!
Thanks for this pretty good video! I love the split screen combined with white board explanations. I actually almost knew that but I never could explain at that high level as you do. Well done! I've done myself a video but just driving without any comments. To shift into a higher gear I experienced that it's working better with double clutching instead of just waiting a little bit, at least with my car. I absolutely agree that these gear boxes are giving you much more back, more fun and feeling of older technique, so I am happy that mine is still having the same gear box. I know that many restaurated cars got a synchronized gear box from the R or 126... but why? Thanks mate!
You’ve stopped Posting videos.
I think you just convinced me to buy a barchetta. I’m a 193cm tall cry baby whining (with your front-wheel-cry-babies voice):”Oh it’s too small, my head touches the roof”. But you made me realize: it’s a barchetta type of car, a small two seater roadster with a tiny front window and NO ROOF. If one considers the Fiat to be just that, the fact it even has got a roof is an absolute bonus! Thanks for the enlightement!
I'm watching this in 2022 just turned 20 I love the 190e merc had a 1993 2 years ago man I miss it nothing like the classics bro🔥🔥
What a great video! The only I could add, is don't leave your hand resting on the shifter. Doing so adds strain to the shift linkages and wears them out faster.
Which year did they start to use electronic bitonale?
1980 or 1990?
What is the engine size?
2.0 liter, injection :)
Thank you for the great video, Im trying to buy one and needed some tips for the test drives. Love the shoes.
Beautiful car🤩, the Fiat Coupe 20 valve Turbo Plus was one of my favourite car's for a while. Fastest FWD car around on launch with it's incredible sounding 5 cylinder engine. But they were so nice looking too🤩
Yeah the turbo is pretty sick!
@@AdrianosClassicGarage Can you do a review of one? It's actually worthwhile holding onto one to look after, they are going up in value really fast🌟💸
I'm an 18 yo female viewer with a c124 300ce. Currently fixing it up!
What a beauty! Which engine does yours have?
Only 6000 per year? I do 13500 per year
Im 21 and have a 1968 Beetle, 1997 Volkswagen Jetta and a 1994 Volkswagen golf. Maybe ill buy a Mercedes next to add to the lineup
I am 55, I've had an '87 190e 16 valve manual since 2011. I have some of the same problems... I have to lock and unlock the car from the trunk, power antenna doesn't work, oil leak from the pan, and the sunroof is stuck... Other than that, it is a wonderful car. Cheers, Rob.
Adriano what a beautiful review, especially the last minutes, greetings from Greece, i wish that i find a red one and enjoy that special driving experience!!!
Thank you very much!
gas has 50% more energy than regular gasoline. so therefore you should actually divide the price by 1.5 to get comparable price with gasoline
However, it may look different if you have an engine that is optimized for cng, for example a Volkswagen. which can have both a Supercharger and turbo that can have 200 newton meters already from 1800 rpm. An optimized engine also consumes less gas, at least in some cases

I own a mercedes w201 and a w124, both diesel, both in great condition, u just drive and drive, change oil and filters, and thats about it, most reliable car as far as I know
I lived in so many places in the world, driving in Rome is horrible, 90% of ppl r on phone, super elderies jus enjoying the ride driving at speed of 20km/h, an angry ppl, they get angrier when u horn coz they jus almost killed u. Don't even mention parking, ppl Park on pedistrien areas....

Big problems with the crankshaft ! I had 2 Barchetta and always the same problem. Breaks were not good...
20% lower is the right amount of savings. Too many bullshit artists or people lying to themselves online. LPG is cheaper but you use a lot of it compared to petrol. The tanks are often smaller so you rarely to get to have LPG in your vehicle. Which means you only save when you have the fuel. Sometimes the LPG system can fail before you had chance to make the savings also. I've also had times when I thought I was saving but the gas was leaking from the filler nozzle slowly. You really need to be close to LPG station and do large mileage to see and feel the difference.
I do 500 miles a week and keep track of everything and after converting to lpg I save about 40% on fuel costs, I’ve lost 5/8mpg depending on how much high speed driving I do but I’m using next to no petrol my petrol gauge hasn’t moved in about 80 litres of lpg, I think it depends on the car I have a Prius so my hybrid battery might scew results when comparing to other vehicles as it it’s assisting the acceleration which I think is where a lot of fuel is wasted with lpg as it lacks any sort of power.
Francamente, quello che si vede qui è niente rispetto ai picchi di menefreghismo e spericolatezza ai quali ho personalmente assistito in 15 gg di permanenza e di guida a Roma!
